Above average service and these specialists are most always able to address any problem presented to them in 12-36 hours depending on the severity of the problem and availability of parts. This time around it was my security system that was failing possibly from age or the extreme cold. They were able to take me in within a few hours and were able to diagnose the problem without looking at the vehicle. A printout of agreed upon work/charges was presented to me before work was done which made me feel comfortable. European specialists was even complete enough to do a general overview of the car without charge and offered an estimate of what it will cost in the future should i have the problem addressed in the future. Nice job.

Anytime your engine light goes on it’s never a good sign but thank you John and Pat for making my experience less stressful by quickly assessing what repairs my Saab 93 needs and what my next service will entail. They have helped me with several repair and maintenance services. Service is contentious. Good advice. Competent repairs. Flexible scheduling. At my last visit, John took the time to explain features and maintenance of the tires they installed, which I appreciate. They are less expensive than the dealer but more than many mom and pops. I recommend them to friends.

Always friendly. Always reasonably priced. Very knowledgeable regarding my make and model. I would not take my Volvo anywhere else for service. Am planning on another 7 years of service from my 2005 XV90 and with the help of John and his crew I will make it. Moved out of state 3+ years ago and drive 150 miles round trip for service. No, I’m not crazy… they are that good! And they are dog friendly to boot : )

I was very happy with the service that European Specialists provided. They performed a ‘check’ of a used car I was planning to buy from another dealer. The charge was very reasonable, and the results of their investigation found issues that the other dealer needed to fix before I bought the car. Excellent – would recommend to others!

I do the majority of the work on my cars myself, but when it comes to something I cannot do, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do it. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly — anytime I’m there it feels like I’m socializing with fellow Saab enthusiasts rather than waiting at a mechanics shop. Great people, great work. I went to a local Saab dealership for years and one other “Saab Specialist” but often felt overcharged and they lacked the follow-up on what was really needed for my car during the time of service. I stopped in to schedule an oil change and they took my car in on the spot. After they made some recommendations that the car may benefit from but did not try to force me into buying anything. We’ve had my son’s 2006 Audi serviced here for two years. Little skeptical at first because they seemed to focus on Saabs, but that concern changed quickly as they handled the Audi reliably and inexpensively compared to the usual dealer rip-off. Car was done on time, within estimates and they called before doing anything major. Great attitude, knowledgeable team.

We were driving home to NJ from Boston on I-95 on June 15 when the car suddenly stopped and would not restart. We didn’t know where we were or what to do. The wonderful CT Highway Assistance Motorist Patrol suggested Swedish Performance, since they were near where we had broken down. So we called, and they said they thought they could help us even though we were driving a Mercedes. AAA towed us to them, and there we were, stuck and stranded in Branford at 2pm on a Wed afternoon. Swedish Performance was terrific! They told us to get a bite to eat at the Greek diner next door, and even gave us a discount card to use, while they looked at the car. By 3pm they had ascertained the problem (a failed electronic sensor which cut off the engine), and had called a nearby Mercedes dealer and ordered a replacement part. A little after 5pm they had us back on the road homeward bound. Swedish Performance treated us like a regular customer, even though they knew they would probably never see us again, and treated our emergency as their own. We highly recommend Swedish Performance as they are friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. Thank you to all the staff who got us back on the road again so promptly and efficiently!
